Counselling for adults, children and young people

I offer brief and long-term Person-Centred Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for adults, children and young people, from my private counselling room in Lathom, Ormskirk.

I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bereavement and relationship difficulties. I also specialise in supporting clients who have been diagnosed with ADHD or autism, as well as those who are considering an assessment and would like support in understanding themselves and their experiences. I am an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider, with specialist training and knowledge to support clients with ADHD and the challenges it can bring to emotions, relationships, self-esteem and everyday life.

Whatever has brought you to counselling, I will offer you a safe, welcoming and non-judgemental space where you can feel comfortable exploring what is happening for you. We will work together at your own pace, helping you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, build confidence and find ways to make positive changes that feel right for you.

My warm and friendly approach helps create an environment where you can feel at ease and talk openly about things that can sometimes be difficult to share with friends or family. I feel privileged to support my clients through their journeys and to witness the positive and often life-changing difference that counselling can make.

My Practice

I offer counselling from a safe, comfortable and confidential private room in Lathom, just outside Ormskirk. I provide face-to-face, online and telephone sessions, giving you the flexibility to choose the format that feels most comfortable and accessible for you.

If technology isn’t your thing, don’t worry — I’ll make online sessions as simple and straightforward as possible, with support if you need it. For face-to-face sessions, there is free, easy and accessible parking, so you can arrive without the added stress of finding somewhere to park.

There is no set number of sessions. I tailor counselling to you, your needs and what feels right, whether that means a few sessions to work through a particular difficulty or longer-term support.

I also offer flexible appointments, including evening and weekend sessions, making it easier to fit counselling around your work, family and everyday commitments.

Fees and Availability

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, so I offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation to give you the opportunity to ask any questions and talk through what you’re looking for.

This is a chance for us to have a brief conversation, discuss how I may be able to support you and, most importantly, for you to get a feel for whether I am the right counsellor for you. There is no obligation to continue — I want you to feel comfortable and confident in your decision.

If you decide that counselling feels right for you, we can arrange a convenient time for your first session. Sessions last 50–60 minutes and can take place weekly, fortnightly or monthly, depending on your needs and circumstances. Weekly sessions are generally recommended, particularly at the beginning, as they can help provide consistency and maintain momentum.

There is no fixed number of sessions. I will tailor the length and frequency of counselling to you, whether you need just a few sessions to work through a particular difficulty or longer-term support.

Individual Therapy Session:

60 minute session - £50

Sessions are available Monday to Friday from 6pm to 9pm and Saturday from 9am to 4.30pm
